Sundance Insulation was established in 1988 by Dave

King, who began his career in the insulation industry

at the age of 13, working for his father's company,

King Insulation. Initially involved in installation

alongside his father and brothers, Dave gradually

transitioned into sales and management as he

matured. After his brothers pursued their own paths,

Dave chose to start his own venture, launching

Sundance with a truckload of insulation and the

assistance of his friend Tony Miller, who remains

integral to daily operations. In its early days,

Sundance took on various jobs, including those

overlooked by other companies, and faced significant challenges, including financial losses and personal sacrifices. However, through perseverance, Dave expanded the business to include drywall contracting, investing his savings into acquiring the necessary equipment. Today, he remains actively engaged in the company's operations, supported by his family and long-term employees, including Tony Miller, Rob Miller, and JR Bene, who have contributed to the company's success for over thirty years. Dave's wife is employed in an office, while his eldest son works part-time as a sales representative on his days off from his role as a Phoenix Fireman. Additionally, his youngest son is also engaged in part-time work as a mechanic. They all play a very special role in the making of Sundance, a customer service oriented company. Dave expresses gratitude for his loyal customers and dedicated staff over the past 35 plus years, attributing Sundance's reputation for quality work and exceptional customer service to their collective efforts.
